CMS extended the deadline to allow providers extra time to submit their meaningful use data. CMS continues to urge providers to begin attesting for 2014 as soon as they can. This extension also allows eligible professionals, who have not already used their one “switch”, to switch programs (from Medicare to Medicaid, or vice versa) for the 2014 payment year until11:59 pm ET on March 20, 2015. After that time, eligible professionals will no longer be able to switch programs. Medicare eligible professionals must attest to meaningful use every year to receive an incentive and avoid a payment adjustment. Providers who successfully attest for the 2014 program year will: · Receive an incentive payment · Avoid the Medicare payment adjustment, which will be applied January 1, 2016 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Adding DX codes to the SQL Version, Motivational Quotes: I received some feedback from our doctors in Florida that do Personal Injury that with the SQL data base, they could not use the E codes that they usually incorporate in their work. I mentioned this to Russ, and in Update 15.04 (2/20/15), he added the ability to add codes. This is how you do it: If you are running the SQL version of E-Z Notes (It will have that on the front left corner of the “Start Screen”), you click on the Set Up button on the upper left corner: ![[image]](https://staticapp.icpsc.com/icp/loadimage.php/mogile/353288/cffc602725bd6fd4b751a3d3ce6db961/image/png)
After entering your password, you will be on the General Settings screen, look at the bottom and find a purple button marked, “Personalize Your DX Codes. ![[image]](https://staticapp.icpsc.com/icp/loadimage.php/mogile/353288/63bfc62c8605c732dd527b2994d00ef5/image/png)
You will need to select a category where you want to place the DX codes. I have selected, “Doctor’s Miscellaneous DX” ![[image]](https://staticapp.icpsc.com/icp/loadimage.php/mogile/353288/bb81a95842bf7a3990e94de92a71f733/image/png)

Now choose the green button marked, “Add to List” ![[image]](https://staticapp.icpsc.com/icp/loadimage.php/mogile/353288/0f5a5f31165af26719a45a9707d19979/image/png)
Select, “Other not Found” (You can populate this box with codes that are in the system, but if the code you want/need it is not, you need to pick, “Other not Found”. ![[image]](https://staticapp.icpsc.com/icp/loadimage.php/mogile/353288/f8e07dd32348a91368cf890fd872cb28/image/png)
You can then enter the code. Russ has it listed as an ICD-9, but I am demonstrating the E codes and I suspect any code could be added. ![[image]](https://staticapp.icpsc.com/icp/loadimage.php/mogile/353288/a0e2f36ab8d5389580f4a56fce3bf24b/image/png)
